MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

When did you buy your first computer? Not sure of the year, but it
was when the first iMacs came out.
Where is your current computer located? Home office.
Been a fan how long? Since the 70's. I remember the Midnight
Specials and singing
Lights with my mother while driving home from
long training sessions. (I was an elite gymnast.)
First time I heard Steve sing I felt: Although not the first time I
heard him sing, I can remember back in college when a friend stopped
by to let me try his new Sony Walkman. I listened to the
Escape
cassette, and I'll never forget the sound quality of
Don't Stop
Believing. It blew me away. Now it's my Bose music system that
re-introduces my favorite vocalists.
Favorite CD: Escape and
Captured are my all-time favorites.
Easy
to Fall is a standout song for me on
Trial By Fire. About six years
ago when in Hawaii, I heard
I Wish You Were Mine from the
Island
Roots CD. They played that song all day every day on the island. I
ended up buying the CD in the airport before departing.
Have you seen Steve in concert? Several times at the Cow Palace.
The most memorable show was the outdoor
Raised On Radio concert in
Calaveras County. I was in the back near the vendors, but it was a
magical night. There was this energy in the air that I had never
experienced at such a large outdoor venue.
If you could put one song in a time capsule for future generations what
would it be and why?
Any Way You Want It. Every time I'm
with a group of friends watching
Caddyshack and that song is
featured, everyone knows it's Journey, and everyone gets a little
crazy. It's a feel-good classic Journey jam.
Personal Comments: Thanks for letting me reminisce!
Take chances. Act on faith. Stand on your convictions. Work with
others. Lead by example. Share your vision. Believe in yourself.
Encourage those around you. Never give up. Pursue your dreams. Leave
a legacy.
And thank you Terri!

Perry found the musicians
working on
Street Talk to be initially apprehensive towards him. "It was only natural," Perry explains. "They
thought I might come to the studio acting like a big-time rock star and starting ordering them around. I was the complete
opposite." Perry suddenly stops, then adds with a warm smile, "Once everyone sat down for a pizza and beer, which are
my personal vices, all the tension was gone."
