MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
This month we are spotlighting: Karen!
Name: Karen Cornell
Message Board Name: Kaz
Hometown: London, United Kingdom.
Occupation: Well, I've had a million jobs but am currently a personal
assistant - a born organiser. My dream is to work as a fulltime photographer.
Family: Husband called Sean (just celebrated our 1st anniversary) and
a cat called Rosie. Born in Canada, so a lot of my family are out there but moved
to the UK with my mum as a child.
Hobbies: Do wedding photography in my spare time, and am learning to
play the guitar. Love movies
and snowboarding and anything related to Steve and Journey.
When did you buy your first computer? Never had one, always used a work pc.
.
Where is your current computer located? At work.
Been a fan how long? Since 1990 - I was living in Canada for a couple
of years and
whilst on a weekend away with girls, they played
Don't Stop Believing
for the first time.
That song just blew me away (and still does).
First time I heard Steve sing I felt: like my breath had been taken
away, I have never heard anyone like him before.
Favorite CD: Escape.
Have you seen Steve in concert? No, regrettably. I've only seen the
Live in Houston DVD. But am going to see the 'new' Journey in March 2007 in London.
Wish Steve would turn up and sing! Would be a dream come true. I can only
imagine how wonderful it must
have been to see him in concert.
If you could put one song in a time capsule for future generations what
would it be and why?
Don't Stop Believin' - It's timeless, and in my opinion the best song
I have ever heard in my life. That song will always remind me of when I was young and carefree.
.
Personal Comments: So pleased that I've found other fans of Steve and Journey, they're
not as well known in the UK and it will be great to actually speak to people about the best singer ever.
Your website is amazing - thank you for
all the hard work you guys do for it.
Thank you, Karen!

Steveisms
"... sometimes you do have to just to take care of yourself and you put your
faith in proving to other people, record label execs, or anybody else that your worthy of their love or their support or their
promotion or their respect and you dance hard for that, only to find that sometimes it doesn't come. And in the music business,
by the way, if you put your soul and heart in that and you dance hard for those things, and it doesn't come, which it usually
doesn't, uh, you crash pretty hard. "
