Journey
Frontiers!
Back In Action Again!
A New Album, More Rock, A Bigger-Than-Ever Show - Journey's Getting It All Together For You!
They've done it again. The five-man rock combo that calls itself Journey has put another chart-climbing
LP on the map and it's called Frontiers! This trip out, Steve Perry, Neal Schon, Ross Valory,
Jonathan Cain and Steve Smith are breaking new ground with a rock-roarin' collection of songs the likes
of which they have never tackled before. Taking turns with the sweet Journey ballad sound you've come
to love are some of the snappiest rockers the group has yet recorded!
Seems Steve Perry, lead singer and songwriter extraordinaire, and his Journey friends had their own touch
of E.T. fever when putting this album together. With an otherworldly (extra-terrestrial!) being gracing
the cover, how can you help thinking of the summertime movie hit in which little E.T. and his friend,
Elliott, go their "Separate Ways" at the end!
"Separate Ways" is one of the hit singles to come from Frontiers -
and it's a tune lead guitarist Neal Schon can really sink his strings into!
Is this a "Chain Reaction," with Jonathan Cain getting into the act? It
sure is. But stay tuned for these melodies too: "Send Her My Love" and "Edge Of The Blade" - more cuts
from that brand spanking new disc.
As Steve Smith proudly points out, he's crossing some "New Frontiers" of
his own on this record. The song that goes by that title was co-penned by Steve himself - it's his
first time as a writer/contributor to a Journey tune!
Don't look now, Neal, but Ross Valory is behind you all the way, keeping that back beat going strong.

And Now A Word From Our Sponsor!
"Who says I can't beat Steve Perry at Journey Escape? says Ross.
"No one wins every time, but I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet!" Would you care to place
bets on which Journeyman scores tops on the brand new Journey video game from DataAge?
"Hand me that pen please, Neal. This one is for mom."
Meanwhile, Steve's preoccupied with a certain full-color Journey souvenir he has come across.
Fun 'n' games over, it's business as usual. Neal doesn't take his pivotal
role as the man dishing up the fancy guitar work lightly. He's making sure to get some practice in before
the group is off to Japan this month as a warm-up for its big U.S. tour beginning the end of March. Look
for the new Journey show to be bigger and better than ever. More lights and a stage that's only five feet
high instead of eight - so you'll be closer than ever to those super Journey guys!
