"My Hates & Loves"
Journey's Lead Singer Shares His Most And Least Favorite Things With You!
Steve Loves . . .

* Dressing Comfortably! That's why his favorite outfit consists of jeans, a T-shirt, and tennis sneakers!
* Playing the drums! He began playing in his high school days and still enjoys doodling on the skins (watch out, Steve Smith!)
* His pet beagle "Linda" (did ya know that's Portuguese for "beautiful?")! She lives with Steve's parents now and, he says, is getting old and plump and hard of hearing. But she's still his favorite pet.
* Music! In addition to Journey, his faves are (the late) Sam Cooke, Gerry Rafferty, Led Zeppelin, and Donna Summer.
* Swimming! That's his favorite sport, although he doesn't have much time to pursue it, being on the road so often.
* Eating vegetarian foods! He feels much more healthy since he gave up meat and started eating only fish, eggs, grains and dairy products.
* Understanding ladies! He's got a special lady right now - they met over a year ago in San Joaquin.
* Austin, Texas! He's been there on tour and finds the natives real friendly!
* Journey's first gold LP - Infinity! Receiving that honor was the biggest thrill of Steve's life!
* His parents! His father was a singer, his mom a dancer, and they helped his career a lot by encouraging his talents. Steve's step-dad helped lots too - by teaching Steve how to survive until he'd made it in music.
* Laughing! He's what you could call "an easy laugh" - almost anything makes him chuckle!
* Flowers! They're also the present he most likes to give a very special lady.
* Watching the Late, Late Movie! Especially if it's old, old, old!
* Hearing from you! He reads his fan mail and tries very hard to answer it personally.
Steve Hates . . .

* Eating meat! He got sick a couple of years ago after eating a hamburger and has been a vegetarian ever since.
* Remembering the time his red, 1967 Corvette was stolen from his garage! He finally found the car, but had to sell it because the engine had been totalled and the car was ruined.
* High rise buildings! Being on the top floor makes him dizzy.
* Flying! That's his main fear so he tries to do bus tours whenever possible.
* Not being able to relax! Steve admits to being a workaholic and therefore has very little time to himself.
* Wearing uncomfortable shoes! He fell down on stage once during a concert in Toledo, Ohio and sticks to tennis shoes now!
* Loneliness! That's one thing he finds very, very sad.
* Being called "cutie" because of his long hair!
* Ladies who play dumb games! He prefers the open, honest type of gal.
